Saint Louis University Hospital has mostly acute patients. Caseload includes neuro, ortho, trauma, cardio, pulmonary and transplant patients.


The Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) at Saint Louis University Hospital (SLUH) provide exceptional care to people through collaboration with physicians, nurses, family members and other rehabilitation and ancillary professionals. SLUH PTAs rotate to different floors so are able to treat a wide range patient diagnosis including but not limited to orthopaedic, neurological, traumatic, oncology, general medicine/surgery/ cardiac, pulmonary, transplant, wound care, etc. SLUH promotes growth and education for staff through ongoing department inservices, committee participation and special project opportunities. The academic teaching environment provides a collegiate atmosphere for learning.


Qualifications

· Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.


· License in the state of MO.


· One year physical therapy experience preferred, but new grads are welcomed.


· Experience in an acute care or rehabilitation setting preferred.
