Health Benefits

Medical

Your health, along with the health of your family, is important to us. We provide several choices of health plans to select from. Our health plans are administered through Cigna Health Care. We offer a qualified high deductible plan and Health Savings Account Option, as well as other lower deductible options. Our plans include Prescription Drug coverage as well.

Dental

SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital offers two dental plan options to meet your needs. Both plans allow you to see any dental provider, but you can save money if you choose an in-network dentist. The Comprehensive Plan provides coverage for a wide range of services, including preventive, basic and major restorative services, and orthodontia. The Preventive Plan has no deductible, but covers preventive care only.

Vision

SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital offers a vision plan that provides coverage for many types of eye care, including eye exams, lenses, frames and contact lenses. You may see any vision care provider, although the best value is provided when in-network doctors are used.

Flexible Spending Accounts

SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital Offers Health Care Spending and Dependent Care Spending accounts. These accounts allow you to have money deducted from your paycheck pre-tax and deposited into an account for use on Eligible Medical Expenses and Eligible Dependent Care Expenses during the calendar year.

 

Paid Time Off (PTO)

SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital is committed to helping employees achieve a work/life balance. All full-time and eligible part-time employees accrue Paid Time Off (PTO). This time is used for vacations, holidays, short-term illnesses and other absences from scheduled work.

403(b) Retirement Benefit

Our program is designed to help you save for your future. The plan offers employees a method to invest their pre-tax dollars to save for retirement income. All eligible employees who participate are eligible to receive a match from SSM Health on a portion of their contribution.

Disability

To ease the financial burden on you and your family should you suffer a prolonged illness, we offer two plan options:

  • Standard Plan: replaces 50% of eligible income up to a weekly max.
  • Standard Plus Plan: replaces 60% of eligible income up to a weekly max.

If you elect the Hyatt Legal Plan, you and your family members can access low-cost legal services through a network of more than 11,000 attorneys. A network attorney can help with: wills, living wills, powers of attorney, prenuptial agreements, adoption, contested guardianship or name change, as well as real estate matters like selling or purchasing a home, refinancing, eviction or tenant problems, and property tax assessment.
