RN -full-time, weekends

*10K sign-on bonus/must have 2 or more years of experience

7 ICU provides critical care to abdominaltransplant, thoracic and vascular surgery patients as well as Medical IntensiveCare (MICU) patients who are in the adult and geriatric stages of life. Oursurgical patients include thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, transplantationsurgery and other complex surgical procedures. Our MICU patients include thosewith a variety of medical illnesses such as pneumonia, sepsis, GI bleed. 7 ICUis an 11 bed full service critical care unit. One bed is equipped with negativepressure air-flow. The unit also serves as a dedicated back up unit for theStroke Patient Population.

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professionalpractitioner who manages and directs nursing care activities during thepatient's hospital stay and coordinates care planning with other disciplinesutilizing a patient / customer driven approach.



Qualifications

    • Minimum Education: RN licensure in the State of Missouri
    • Working Conditions: May be exposed to the risk of blood borne diseases. Exposure to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, and illness). Subject to varying and unpredictable situations. Handles emergency and crisis situations. Subject to irregular hours.
    • Physical Requirements: Occasional prolonged standing/walking. Occasionally lifts,
    • positions, pushes and/or transfers patients. Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching.
