The Cardiac Rehab Coordinator is an experiencednurse who has extensive cardiac experience. She/he will operate from a deepunderstanding of the patient's total clinical situation. This coordinatorutilizes the nursing process and extensive knowledge base, and past experienceto provide phase one rehab to complex patients. Under the direction of thenurse manager this nurse will assist with the growth and development of thecardiac rehab program; educate staff and supplemental staff; and function in acollaborative relationship with other interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Job Specifications

Minimum Education: Graduate of a School ofNursing. Matriculating towards Certified Cardiac RehabProfessional.

Minimum Experience: 2 years extensivecardiology experience.

Required Course: Current Missouri License

Working Conditions: Regular exposure to therisk of bloodborne diseases.

Contact with patients under wide variety ofcircumstances. Exposure to unpleasant elements(accidents, injuries, illness). Subject to varying and unpredictablesituations. May perform emergency care. Subject toirregular hours. Pressure due to multiple competing demands.

Physical Requirements: Prolonged,extensive, or considerable standing/walking. Lifts, positions,pushes, and/or transfers patients. Considerablereaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, lifting, pushing,pulling100 pounds.
